EstepaEditions, a small independent press in Paris is managed by the artist and editor Kate Van Houten.

From her studio many one-of-a-kind books were generated relating to her painting. In 1996 she began a production of books in limited editions, often bi-lingual, combining text and image in complicity with poets and writers and visual artists to promote the thoughts and inspirations of each participant. The meditative and whimsical steps to making books have their own poetry.

EstepaEditions, est une maison indépendante installée à Paris. Elle a été créée et est dirigée par l’artiste et éditrice Kate Van Houten.

Kate Van Houten a créé dans son atelier un grand nombre de livres uniques en lien avec sa peinture. En 1996, elle a commencé la production de livres en tirages limités, souvent bilingues. Ces textes associent texte et image, en complicité avec les auteurs et artistes visuels, afin de traduire au mieux les idées et inspirations de chacun. Les différentes étapes de la création, méditatives et souvent pleines d’inattendu, révèlent une poésie qui leur est propre.
